Vegan Dreams Become Real

          Vegan Dreams Become Real

He swallowed other people’s dreams and tried

To make them his.  They made it down his throat,

Right past his Adam’s apple.  They were wide

Inside him but too like a swelling bloat.

These swelled like parts of men that conquer holes,

Holes darker than a larynx lacking speech.

He knew such voiceless, fleshy dreams had goals

And fright made self reject them and their screech,

Their silent screech because he knew in fact

That they were what he wanted to deploy

Himself in caverns hidden, to enact

Their thrusting.  He gave up his former coy

Uncertainty and grasped out, manly, in

An undreamed way for utter, meaty sin.
