Let’s make solemnity a bit
Of fluff and send it out to float on screens
Of Hollywood or platforms. Make a twit
Of Akhenaton for the popcorn teens
To watch when they aren’t fogged with weed—or when
They are. You might as well make fun of Christ
Or Buddha, too, so long as Bel Air men
Can cram their pockets full of dough and heist
Important history for a laugh. Let’s twist
Mere archeology that digs in times
Long lost in tombs and dust and in the mist
Of ignorance — and turn truth into crimes.
So long as anything can be turned slick
For money, rape and pillage it, quick, quick.
