Lift up the orange blossoms in your mind,

The orange petals in their dark green grove.

Lift up the fragance of the flowers behind

His childhood home wherever he may rove.

Lift up the smell of deer tongue warmed by heat

Of Florida, its nearly orange sun.

Lift up that smell, vanilla-like, the suite

Of fragrances a spring-time breeze has spun.

Lift up the smell Atlantic beaches send

Across the ranks of trees, dark jade and white.

Allow the fragrances to try to mend

Mistakes that God has made with free will blight.

Aromas, scents, the redolence of blooms

And leaves make up bouquets of Florida perfumes.
