Recurring, Not Forgotten Florida

The childhood cosmos that returns in dreams
Is full of butter suns, smooth, yellow, bright.
The light is not like melting candy creams
That merge upon the tongues of souls. The light
Is truer, clearer, sweeter. It is paired
With blue, the blue of perfect seas and skies.
These matching colors make a beauty squared.

It is a beauty viewed through child-blue eyes
And then repeated from the depths in minds
That come to need this therapy. A tower
Of gloried whiteness from a tall cloud blinds
All darkness. Dreams of childhood have that power.
..They make us think that miracles occurred.
….The dreams from boyhood glisten, are not blurred.
