Patisserie Christianity

Patisserie-like Christianity

Is what I love the most.  Why bother with

The rules and burdens, the inanity

Of long traditions and the heavy myth

When you can have incrusted beauty, not

Incrusted doctrine?  Start out with a blue

Dome.  Shape it like a tulip bulb.  Add taut

Gold stars and do not set them all askew.

Emplace them each just so.  Rigidity

Of golden, eight-point decorations will

Replace Orthodoxy’s frigidity.

Replace cold laws with prettiness’s frill.

Instead of cherries on the top, the gloss

I’ll have is that confectionary cross.
