Over a Mystic River
Modern poetry modern verse contemporary poetry contemporary verse modern poem contemporary poem
Suspended from the columns of men’s brains,
Our dreams are bridges that go strong and straight
To mystery though swaying past the veins
As cables trying to uphold the weight
Of Id and Ego. Goals at either end
Are often lost in floating, swirling mind
Not always just while sleeping. Vapors bend
Beneath, beyond, behind and sometimes blind
The purposed sight. In fact uprising haar
Is often more important than the view
Of span or ordered tower like a spar.
The fogs cause visions often deeply true.
..This blending and not blending brings deep thought
….More often better than the firmness sought.
