Omniscience Leading to Agape Love

Omniscience Leading to Agape Love

Modern poetry modern verse contemporary poetry contemporary verse modern poem contemporary poem

God’s understanding looms so large it seems

To be much more, because if He knows all

It’s said he knows, his wisdom must be beams

Of love since only smaller knowledge, small,

Small, small would keep him from compassion’s love

Like laser lights, be like the largest star

Formations, grouping galaxies above

Our blinding fates.  His mind must reach out far

Beyond our brains which in comparison

Are like an angstrom’s width and as the weight

In one electron.  A whole garrison

Of gods could not know more.  Yet . . . he knows hate.

He tortures unknown numbers of doomed souls

In hell much hotter than earth’s hottest coals.
