When humans scold you, turn to flowers and vines.

Combine them.  Morning glories are ideal

As therapy or zazen.  Blooms are mines

For healing meditation.  They conceal

Their powers until you focus on their souls,

Curves folded in their purple petals, white

Or pink sometimes.  While growing up their poles,

The blossoms always aim for sacred height

From which they offer medicine for chests

Which suffer trauma, cracked ribs or a heart.

You find the spirit curings in your quests.

A peony can also play this part.

Do not forget the roses.  They unfold

A mystic’s recipe for balms untold.
