Made Unique by God the Father and Son Almighty: the First Day and the Sixth
He had a head so full of dawns that God
Must clearly have been there when it was made.
Another reason was that he was odd.
That also showed divinity had played
A kneeling part in his creation since
The Christ despises factory sameness. So
He had a face so full of dawn, this prince
Of beauty, only oddities could grow
Inside that skull beneath that curly hair.
His nose was noble like a mountain height
In dayspring and his eyes were like a pair
Of planets in alignment. They were light
Itself, if only light could be that true.
His head and face were like the first day’s blue.
