Free Will
Jehovah was the first to think of Free
Will. Maybe He pulled back from thinking then.
This one divinity went on a spree
Of wide creation, making light and men,
A trillion galaxies and globes, with no
More cogitation. Clearly he was not
Concerned with what might come in all that glow,
Like sin, godzillion deaths, and evil hot
Enough to make a thinking mind rethink
The cost of cosmos hugeness of the bad,
Of Annie Dillard and the death-filled stink
Of corpses piled on putrid scad, scad, scad.
Free Will has consequences that this God
Seemed not to think of. Do you think that odd?
