Famished for the Infinite

A blue so deep that night beside its dark

Unconscious might begrudge its lack of light,

Soaks up the eye and helps it see the stark

Rock ridge for razorback to second sight,

The path you always wanted that this blue

Was waiting for.  This blue inside this lake

Beneath you summons understandings through

Lost Transcendental seers which would quake

Within you if you opened up your chest.

The darkness says that it would win your soul

Unlike the core of Emerson if pressed

By visions opening his highest Whole.

The glacier ice that scrubbed this peak and carved

These indigos is what has left us starved.
