Drunk on Innocents’ Blood

       Drunk on Innocents’ Blood

Annoyance from lightweight metal tins

Of beer comes out from those who, burping, drink.

No swiller ever stops to ponder sins

Against the victims.  Guzzlers do not think

About the nastiness of chugging booze,

Effects on others.  All soaks care about

Is selfish pleasure.  Several thousand lose

Their lives in killings (sober folk).  Men shout

In bars, and fight, and then go out and drive

Or lose their tempers, pulling out their guns.

The alcoholic criminals drink, thrive,

And leave us others dead, (unsozzled ones).

But that’s ok.  Authorities claw cash

In taxes.  Who cares about a car crash?
