Distance is Prophecy

The distance is attached to futures or

A future. In the watercolour scene

The distance and the future both abhor

Exactness.  Empty spaces in between

The hills or in between the hills and stream

Increase the distance from the future days.

This painting is the silent brushwork dream

Of time.  The blanker moments are haze

Because tomorrows always are that way.

The void moments on the paper glow

With meaning.  If the colors blend and spray

Like haar around the edges, they are slow

To try to enter hollowness.  The white

Domains see pale potentials taking flight.
