Breastbone and Thigh with Color of a Manly Love

Breastbone and Thigh with Color of a Manly Love

The ivory letters I would set in bones

Of love would nearly be invisible

Since ivory is too close in paler tones

To thigh and breast bone.  Indivisible

Those colors are in love from me to you.

The ivory would be deep, embedded in

Your chest and thigh, not merely a tattoo.

Embedded after carved, and deep within

Your skeleton, my messages would be

For epochs then.  The ivory/whites would not

Bring blood from marrow, though.  The gods could see

My hieroglyphs with love and passion fraught.

The paleness placed in paleness would be there

For deeper beings’ ears in silent blare.
