Bound
No dirty atom or electron can
Exist. No dirty god can reign supreme
Since that would not be deity. A man
Cuts off another person’s leg. Does gleam
Of goodness come from that, or bad
Come pulsing from it? What if he has cut
It as a surgeon or a soldier mad
With patriot desire, with glamor’s strut
Against an enemy who bombed his home?
An action is indifferent till we know
The context. Actions are much less than foam
Until their motives make them dark or glow.
Yet even then an answer lies unclear
No matter what the motive, how sincere.
