The dew upon the petal of the rose

Remains undyed, a purity of red,

A purity of crimson drops transpose

To brightness held up in a flowerbed

Like Mozart music as a clarity

Of harmony in composition made

To blend and not to blend.  Disparity

Is banished, though, in sunshine and in shade:

No clashing sound results.  The red retains

Its red.  The purity of water stays

Unstained.  Viola note are each detained

With harmony and melody like praise.

In praise of Christ?  Perhaps.  In praise of all

    Perfections holding loveliness in thrall.
