A Mortal Passenger Close to Immortality
I move now like a ghost who carries you
Inside me. Others cannot see the real
Me. Certainly they do not have a view
Of you within me. Only slumps reveal
The weight I bear because of beauty in
My body, loveliness that you impose
There at my core. We never knew the sin
I wanted, but it lingers always, grows,
And feeling it, a sacred tumor there,
I do not want the Christ to come and heal
It. Let the love expand. Allow this pair
To carry on together. Let me kneel
..Beneath internal weight that you impose.
….I glow because of you inside—and woes.
