Qumran Caves versus the Academy, Character by Character

Qumran Caves versus the Academy,

           Character by Character

“Greek scribes could be inaccurate, unlike the meticulous transcribers of Hebrew scripture whose work was judged, character by character, by God himself.”

~ Michael Schmidt, The First Poets

The character of Greek and Hebrew ways

Has always been the same.  The Hebrews love

Their God and Scriptures most of all.  The stays

Of Greek perspectives are free minds above

……….

All else, which means the love of men.  If God

Is given dominance, wan freedom thrives.

In such a cosmos, liberty is odd

Because the universe exists like hives

That know no God except control,

That know the rigid rules alone.  In Greek

Imaginations we are like a scroll

That we can write and make each book unique.

..Philosophers who love to disagree

….Are livelier than laws by salt’s Dead Sea.
