Revelation 12:5
“the snows of yesteryear”
Desires denied fill time like Arctic waste,
Antarctic nights. Since in eternity
These passion are abandoned, they stay chaste
Forever. Virginal alternity
To life, they lie in deep-freeze space,
As Christ’s robe splayed prior to creation,
Although their fate was more like brains his mace
Will smash, or like victims of a Haitian
Voodoo cult at absolute zero. Jews
Obliterated in the ovens or
Hope like unrequited love in a Muse
And Blanche DuBois, or other blameless whore,
Are like destroyed lusts strewn all about.
The Buddha teaches we must blank them out.
