“inherit the desolate heritages” ~ Isaiah 49:8

Confused and nebulous like blossoms new

To Hades, new to condemnation of

Our purpose and our petals, now we view

The world as if we never lived above

This cavern underneath the ground of hate.

Confused before transplanted here, we now

Can never rise again to suns.  Too late

We turn to find a god to whom we vow

A love of life.  The carnage that we left

Beyond us in the light is like a strewn

Fukushima.  At last we feel the heft

Of burial in Allah’s honeymoon.

We are spermatozoa in a black

Night desert’s depths, or only buried flak.
