Siddārtha found, while meditating on

The river, that enlightenment which he

Was seeking, searching for.  He found the dawn

There.  Buddha found there his serenity.

The river represents that time beyond

Eternity, that farthest bound for mind

And soul.  Remember, this is not some fond

Impression, not some notion for the blind

Of heart.  Guatama found the river’s way

To truth, to unities set forth, above,

Throughout the cosmos, heard the river say,

“Some things are greater than our human love.”

Much later Jesus said, “I am the deep

Well.  Let me live through you.  Come, make the leap.”
