Imperfections

He stares out, haughtiness implied in brows

Here blackly burned above uneven eyes.

That large, uneven nose might just arouse

Distrust.  Unevenly an eyebrow lies

Distorted at the nose as if it grew

More chest hairs there like those revealed inside

His opened shirt.  Unevenness reigns through

The photograph.  One ear flares far too wide

Beside that slightly squinting eye.                          One lip

Is perfect, though, this lower fullness pink

As passion when it’s slick.                           God let it slip,

This one utterness there allowed to slink

Among his beauties made of manly flaws.

It’s men like you who give perfection pause.
