Dumb

                      Dumb

Confusingly, (confusedly) he claims

That silences have shapes; a silence has

A shape (it follows).  Saying this he maims

Clear thinking.  Silences are more like jazz,

Progressive jazz completely jagged stuff.

It’s good that he’s a poet and does not

Claim music as his specialty.  His guff

Deserves derision.  We suspect some plot

To teach that poets are not worth our while

If desperate in their search to find a way

To write new thoughts they make us only smile

(Read:  sneer); or just think “pea-brained popinjay.”

When sound waves enter, silence still goes on.

In spite of noise the silence still flows on.
