The Third Largest Personal Collection of Jazz Recordings in the world: He Kept it Clean
No Liberace ever glittered here
In Titusville. He never lost a ring
Of amethysts and gold at Sand Point pier,
Or platinum and diamond-bright bling
At Little League in hell-fired Draa Field heat.
But in our little church of conrete blocks
Of puritanic white sat Wesley, neat
And ultra-proper in his silken socks,
The church’s clerk in slightly fragrance suit,
Hair coiffed and sideburns perfectly trimmed as
If no sin had soiled him. He had a beaut
Assemblage—yep, third largest of jazz
In all the world. Recordings were just toys,
But he was serious about the boys.
