If you were making worlds, the spheroid ones,

Those almost perfect spheres like Venus, Earth

And Mars—like massed huge hundred trillion suns—

What form of planet might provide some mirth?

A few are ugly as an asteroid,

Perhaps, or mushed out stupid shapes a kid

Might accidentally make when he has toyed

With Play Dough, off the normal planet grid.

Haumaea is the one a hen might lay

And cackle, laughing, oval in its shape

With bashes in it, or a football, gray

At Notre Dame but showing every scrape.

Two tiny moons escaped it, too ashamed

Of ugly mothering, squashed up and maimed.
