The Poetry of the Triune God: a Cord of Three Strands

“from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.”

tttttt

Eternal gyres together one times three.

The monolithic gods are only One

So they are lonely in their majesty.

Their utternesses falter, underdone.

The Trinity is endlessness combined

Of tripled love and, therefore, treble love

Stays stronger than a single god.  Twined

Together they are God, strong love above

The weaker one-soul love of other ones.

From everlasting three have been the source

Of everlastingness.  From them power runs

From love — and charges long with tripled force.

Jehovah and the single Allah pose

    Alone, a boringness in prose.
