Advice for Living

                   Advice for Living

Do life the way a worker honeybee

Approaches living, but without the fault

Of filling life without wild liberty.

Stretch up.  Attend to life as if pole vault

Maneuvers at their height were done without

The flexing strength that brought you to your fling

Across the bar, as if your will was stout

Enough to win without the pole and swing

To victory with freedom.  Do it like

The well-honed knight deploys his charging lance

And brings to death a foe with bloody spike

While free, the tournament a light-hoofed prance.

Force focus clearly.  Choose your view.  Do all

With sharp abandon, nothing loose or small.
