Why hide in night, when you can hide in day?

God hides in His effulgent, banging light

That kills if you should see its deadly ray.

Why opt for Satan’s secret, tumored night

When like the skylark you can zoom to hide

In highest, perfect blue and shower all

With tempting notes invisibly and slide

Away in brilliant, utter, azure pall?

The nightingale and owl can trill and hoot

In darkness.  Let them.  You can sing and soar.

You can launch yourself in noontime as you shoot

Like unseen missiles with a singing roar.

..You choose to sing your splendour up in skies

….Beyond detection by green earthbound eyes.
