Avoid
Modern poetry modern verse contemporary poetry contemporary verse modern poem contemporary poem
Avoid his eyes, too beautiful and deep,
Or plunge in, from Olympic height, from high
Dive love. The risk is higher yet, yes, steep
But think the heavy thistled prize will ply
With wealth of length, and weight, and width, and love,
Once you have watched it enter depths of you.
Whatever you may do, don’t look above
Its victory and see the urgent blue
Of his devotion to his pulsing need
And your fulfillment. If you look, your heart
Will be controlled triumphant by his seed
He spills inside you with his gorging part.
..His ocean blueish blinking squeezing eyes
….Will have one outcome. They will mesmerize.
