In real man Greece the reason for the male
Grown up in masculinity to be
The one to be allowed to vote and rail
Against opponents in a vote was he
Was necessary for the city state
To thrive. Around his city were its foes
All willing to attack. Death stormed each gate
That manly arms did not defend. The woes
Of slavery and rape loomed ever near
Unless his enemies endured defeat
Before they sacked the city. Honest fear
Drove thoughtful minds to spurn and scorn retreat.
..The reason ancient Greeks gave men the right
….To rule was due to their desire to fight.
