Ancient mummies with golden tongues unearthed in Egypt – BBC News
If I were buried with a tongue of gold,
Would I still be a poet, or, would I
Be like Egyptian mummies who must hold
Their silence underneath the Nile-side sky
And desert sand dunes? Would my tongue last till
Computers start to write our rhyming verse?
Will golden avatars begin to fill
Out rituals, our sentiments, or worse?
Would golden tongued computers tell of you,
How you were loved by me eternally,
Or, not that long, but with a loving view
Of someone beautiful, supernally?
..Is superstition strong enough, that good
….To speak of you unendingly? I would.
