The wisest words are of the ages long
Ago, so long that many people now
Are not acquainted with their force. A gong
Is struck but sounds more like an echo. Thou
And thee are how most think of them, at best.
A few, perhaps in ivied towers of
Old Cambridge, will attend the quilled down nest
But most are tuned to 
etflix or the love
On sale at supermarket counters, Mills
& Boon…those thoughtless tales. The scrolls are not
The hot list sellers. eBay’s click, click tills
And Amazon’s both hit the shallow spot.
..But yet the measured mind and heart still know
….That something’s missing, meanings with a glow.
