Love’s Lunge at Long Last

   Love’s Lunge at Long Last

The moon in near remoteness, when compared

With sun, and stars, and planets, makes its slow

Fast way above us after being snared

By gravity like weighty love below

It, heft of earth’s devotion countless years

Ago, four billion years ago and more.

Immense desire persists between our spheres

Because of passion.  From earth’s molten core

Unending silent love maintains the strength

Of unseen tethering from the lover to

That nearest loved one past that little length

That even astronauts can travel through.

..Such nearness is not far when love can reach

….That tiny distance from Canaveral’s beach.
