Miles and Miles

          Miles and Miles

Miles, Miles ahead of every other one

In beauty, he is lovely, perfect, great

Like Gabriel when bowing to the Son

Enclosed in Mary.  Miles is as a gate

Set down like gold in heaven in the wall

Meant as a bar to Paradise and joys

In bliss forever more.  He stands as tall

Like Lucifer before he fell, like boys

Embarking on unending thrills.  He’s like

Saints after they have been transfigured on

A mountain or been martyred on a spike,

Christ’s holy ones in heaven’s singing dawn.

..Hyped jewellery shines silver more like gold.

….Wings lengthen wide for brilliance unforetold.
