Attention-seeking Brat like Rimbaud

Attention-seeking Brat like Rimbaud

“he never will be missed” ~ The Mikado

A poet (!) says that language traps him tight.
I mean, my GAWD, that’s through the looking glass.
I might accuse him, saying he is trite,
Except I know the truth.  I’m not that crass,
Not quite, but  . . . really he should not say stuff
Like that unless it’s in an empty room
With blizzards banging through.  That’s quite enough
Of foolishness.  He even says a tomb
Is where the language holds him.  He lies dead
Within its darkness.  Really?  Really?!  Go
Some other place, to prose, then go, instead.
He’ll not be missed collapsing into No.
If  he says stoooopid things like some wee kid,
Allow his words to vanish in a skid.
