A moon around the planet Saturn peers

At earth and hopes that it is crystal.  Rock

Rings block far surveys.  More like long lens tears

Come into sight.  That moon does not feel shock.

It only wished, had had suspicions that

No type of precious gem, no diamond gleam

Would be revealed or fill this habitat.

That moon had hoped its pureness could redeem

The actuality its searching found.

The coverings of clouds and caverned seas

Prevented full disclosure.  Ice’s bound

Caps failed to give the distant sphere heartsease.

But then the scattered fragments blocking views

Gave way to showing mushroom cloud taboos.
