……

Who says that small is not as good as large?

Would you prefer a splendid sailboat or

The  heavy, hulking hull plate of a barge?

Would you prefer a gilded dollhouse door

In Louis XV style or chunky chairs

With big fat legs and frame?  The very small

Is often far more beautiful than concrete stairs

No matter how impressive or how tall.

We do not need a giant redwood tree

To win our hearts.  A tiny tree inside

A pot, a cigar box-sized one, may be

More elegant and better than a wide,

Wide cypress on those hills Beirut might love.

An ostrich is not pretty like a dove.
