Years of Daydreams while Far Away Withered

Years of Daydreams while Far Away Withered

How plants quite disappear when they have lost

Their petals and perfume is like the way

You faded from my life.  As if a frost,

A full and lengthy one, attacked in May,

You devastated beauty with your drugs

And drink.  I came to visit on a day

In summer and you gave the last of hugs.

You moved your arms and body with a sway

To take me to your chest.  What came against

Me first, though, was a heavy sack of grain

Inside your T-shirt.  Beer belly dispensed

With love.  That yuckiness turned lust to stain.

..I’d made a poem for that moment when

….We’d meet, but dreams were desecrated then.
